BOARD OF DIRECTOR MODIFIES LEAGUE RULES
The league's Board of Directors voted unanimously to forgo all expenses this year and next year to minimize the impact of next year's sponsorship change. Victor will send an email to all bowlers detailing the rule changes that were approved by the Board for the current and next seasons.

LEAGUE MEETING TO REVIEW COMPANY'S SPONSORSHIP
The league met Monday for a briefing on next year's sponsorship by SCANA. Some ideas for handling the matter where explored. Victor will send an email to all league members with details. Players should discuss options with their team captain so that they can be prepared to make decisions in an upcoming Board meeting.

ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING SUMMARY
The league held its organizational meeting on August 25, 2008, at Anchor Lanes. The meeting was called to order by Larry Blyth at 6:35 PM. The following decisions were made:
- The league will continue to have five players per team, with a maximum of eight players per roster, as it was last year. The league decided against a four-team line-up due to the restriction on number of available lanes.
- We made official the new membership criteria allowing adult children of employees, retirees or long-term contractors.
- The league authorized an increase in the Secretary/Treasurer fee. An amendment was also approved to Rule 3 specifying that the Secretary/Treasurer salary must be authorized by the President and the Vice-President after the Secretary/Treasurer submits final averages to the association.
- Rule 7 was modified to eliminate the the award of trophies for the top two teams and replaced the prize with a monetary reward.
- The league confirmed that, under Rule 10, each team must have at least three players present to constitute legal line-up, and that up to two vacants can be used for this purpose.
- New league officers were elected
- President: Larry Blyth
- Vice-President: Alton Cobb
- Secretary/Treasuer: Victor Gascon
- Sergeant-At-Arms: Gina Strother
- Team rosters were confirmed and new bowlers present filled sanction cards.
